Many dog owners prefer their pets to be protected and to keep them safe. For that reason, they buy dog tags which contain relevant information about the dog owner (ex. address and contact numbers) and if the dog get lost, he/she could easily be found if a dog tag has been attached to the dog's collar.
The idea for dog tags has been carried from the soldiers in 1944 who wore a mark of identification. So, it won't be forcedly if we say that dog tags are dog's identification card.

- To keep your dog safe, you should attach his dog tag on his collar.
- The shape of the dog tag should be rectangular and it should carry all the relevant information.
- The weight of the dog tag should be light. Also, it should be easy to maintain.
- The text on the dog tag should be easy to read.
- After buying a dog tag, you could buy a silencer (it's a rubber which is edging around the dog tag). Then you can be sure that the dog tag won't become scratchy.
- It's recommended your dog pet to wear two dog tags: first dog tag should contain the owner's information and the second tag should contain the License information from the city where you reside.
- You can buy a third dog tag which will contain vaccination information given by your dog's vet.
- Your dog should wear its dog tag all the time, because it can become lost in almost every moment.
